new born child in the family gives immense joy and happiness. This happiness is the result of many discomforts faced by to be a mother. Pregnancy and problems move parallel and this is the reason that during pregnancy experts always advise to have rest and enjoy this time. Happy and healthy mother means happy and healthy child.

 
Pregnancy is one of the happiest as well as full most distressed time periods for any women. Such worries are more if you are going to becomes a mother for the first time. Now, if you have enough information of various discomforts which commonly occur during pregnancy then definitely you can handle your pregnancy in a much better way. These various discomforts are given here –

Nausea and Vomiting – Nausea and vomiting are most common discomforts faced by at least 60 to 70 percent pregnant women. This is also called as morning sickness. Generally, in the first trimester of pregnancy, this problem occurs and few women face this problem in the second trimester also. For this, you can plan your meal in small portions at regular intervals. Make your diet full of proteins to stabilise
metabolism and maintain blood sugar.

Fatigue – In the first trimester of pregnancy fatigue is very common and the reason behind this is the hormonal changes in early days of pregnancy. Mostly this problem is removed in the second trimester of pregnancy. If you wish to not feel fatigue then just relax and sleep, intake required calories and do brisk walking daily.

A backache – Lower back pain is also very common during pregnancy as the growth of uterus changes center of gravity which eventually enables strain on lower back. To relieve back pain you should do pelvic rock exercise to strengthen lower back muscles which will slowly ease the back pain.

Diet – Healthy diet is indispensable during pregnancy so you should plan your diet in such a way that it provides you all the required nutrition and minerals. Stay away from junk and fried foods.

Leg Cramps – Leg cramps and swelling is faced by most of the pregnant women. The cause of this is increasing weight which puts pressure on your knees. You can easily deal with this problem if you continue regular walk and stretching exercises. Exercise is the solution of many pregnancy problems. A regular walk improves blood circulation and eases cramps.

Constipation – Increased level of progesterone causes constipation in pregnant women. Progesterone slows down the mobility of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract during pregnancy resulting in a problem of gas and constipation. The increased doses of iron in prenatal vitamins also cause constipation. To cure constipation, pregnant women should drink enough water, fresh juices and increase fiber intake.



Swelling – During pregnancy blood volume circulation increases by 50% and abdominal pressure from growing uterus slows the process of blood return to the upper body. All this causes swelling in feet and ankles. To ease swelling you should avoid long time sitting and standing in the same posture. Wear loose shoes and drink herbal teas and eat leafy vegetables.
