All he wants for Christmas is…a bigger Lincoln Log. According to new research from the University of Kentucky, 45 percent of men feel like they’re coming up short down there and wish their penises were longer. Yup, longer.
The study looked at the responses of more than 14,000 men and women in a survey about their sexuality, sex lives, and sexual dysfunction. The researchers asked participants about issues with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and penis size, and the data revealed that nearly half of the guys didn't think they packed enough heat.
“Most men with an average-sized penis don’t appreciate they’re average, they see it as small,” says study co-author Ian Kerner, Ph.D. “It usually has nothing to do with what a partner said—it just comes from cultural perceptions or comparing themselves to porn standards.”
According to the women in the study, an average erect penis (around 5.16 inches) is plenty long. In fact, 85 percent of women said they’re either satisfied or very satisfied with their partner’s python. Only 14 percent said they’d like it to be longer, says study co-author Kristen Mark, Ph.D., and two percent actually wished their partner’s package was smaller.
“Men still don’t understand that the clitoris is the powerhouse of the female orgasm, which has nothing to do with penetration,” says Kerner.
Ya hear that, guys? Let's focus less on the boat and more on the motion of the ocean, or whatever.
