The Ridiculous Thing 1 in 5 People Do DURING Sex

Lots of things can prevent you from having an orgasm—but your cell phone should never be one of them. Shockingly, one in five people between the ages of 18 to 34 admit to using their smartphones during sex, according to a recent survey by Harris Interactive for Jumio.

First, the survey details: More than 2,000 U.S. adults took an online questionnaire back in June about their phone habits. Overall, 9 percent of adults said they used their smartphones mid-sex—but that figure more than doubled to 20 percent when researchers only looked at respondents between 18 and 34 years old.

While we understand that you may feel naked without your cell phone, that doesn’t mean you have to keep it by your side when you actually are naked. Leave it in the living room, turn it off, or set it to silent—whatever you have to do to focus on your pleasure, not your incoming texts. And if other factors are keeping you from giving your partner your undivided attention, use these tips to end mid-sex distractions.
