You could say that Sarah Roemer owes her big break to caffeine.
Nine years ago, the owner of a modeling agency found the actress, then 15, sipping the dark stuff at a 7-Eleven in her hometown of San Diego. Four years later, she was discovered by her manager while ordering a cup of joe at a coffee shop. "Now I can't stop drinking it," says Roemer, who stars as a cheerleader in the new movie Fired Up
. The 24-year-old is equally jazzed when it comes to clothes. "I love shopping," she says. "Overall, my style is cutesy. I was a tomboy when I was younger, but now I like girly things." Especially when the pieces come in a pale shade: "I have a lot of white in my closet," she says. "It's fresh and pure, and it goes with anything. In fact, I think one of the cutest things a girl can wear is a white tee and jeans." Kind of gives the expression "I'd like some cream with that" a whole new meaning.
