Attention singles: Your bachelorette pad may be playing a big role in your love life. It turns out that both men and women judge their dates based on their apartments, according to a recent Rent.com survey.

To find out what turns people on (and off) at a dateÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s place, Rent.com surveyed 1,000 single renters. Surprisingly, 67 percent of singles said that a nice apartment would make them more interested in a date. Apparently, weÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re all just looking for love that comes with a great view and laundry in the building.
And contrary to the messy-single-man stereotype, guys care just as much about cleanliness as you do. Seventy-seven percent of men said they pay the most attention to how clean or dirty a dateÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s apartment is, and 41 percent of guys said the biggest turn-off was a filthy bathroom.

While the findings hardly come as a huge surpriseÃ¢â‚¬”letÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s be honest, you probably size up your dateÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s place, tooÃ¢â‚¬”theyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re still a good reminder to keep things clean in case you bring someone home. Or, you know, let it all hang out, dirty dishes and allÃ¢â‚¬”great way to weed out anyone whoÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s a more compulsive neat freak than you are.
