Walt Disney World’s 11-acre Toy Story Land is officially set to open this summer and the park sounds like a whole lot of fun. The "Land" will look like Woody's owner Andy’s backyard, but everything will be so gigantic, it’ll feel like you've shrunk (Honey I Shrunk the Kids-style, except that's the wrong movie). Basically, you’ll feel what it’s like to be a toy.
The trippy park will add an extra line (to shrink wait times) to the existing Toy Story Mania! Ride, which takes riders through multiple carnival games where they compete against their seat buddy, and will add two new rides. One roller coaster will be fashioned after Andy’s toy dog, Slinky; Disney promises it’ll “send guests dipping, dodging and dashing around Toy Story Land.”
The second ride will have aliens outfitted with vending machine claws trying to catch riders, which sounds like more "dodging and dashing, then?
There will also be a restaurant called Woody’s Lunch Box, but the menu isn’t available yet. Hopefully it’ll include childhood necessities like pizza Lunchables and/or some Uncrustables.
Toy Story Land will share the Hollywood Studios lot with the imminent Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park and will open this summer.
