This Video of an Air Force Member Surprising His Mom for Christmas Is So Beautiful and Pure

Airman Grant Jackson, 21, has been deployed in Japan for the past two years, his sister Brittany explained in a now-viral Facebook post from December 19. This year, though, he was able to get home to Memphis for Christmas, and, in the process, give his mom Gwen the biggest shock of her life.

Gwen has a heart defibrillator, so Grant got the OK from her doctor before going through with the surprise. “I’m just glad she was in good health at the time. Everything was planned out pretty perfectly ... It’s like she saw a ghost,” Grant told ABC News.

Gwen told ABC she'd been down lately anticipating another holiday season without all of her kids present, but once Grant got home, she couldn't have asked for a better Christmas. “If everybody felt like this, this world would be a better place. I wish this for everybody. I love my kids so much. It was just a wonderful moment."

Watch. Weep.
