I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that Iskra Lawrence is one of my favorite body positive beacons of light that exist today. I had the pleasure of speaking with her recently, and she was just as engaging, warm, and real as you can imagine her to be from her Instagram posts.

Iskra has a lot going on at the moment. Not only is she a supermodel and self-care advocate, but she's also the mastermind behind the health and lifestyle platform EveryBODY With Iskra. After chatting about her favorite workouts ("high-energy" HIIT sessions) and meals ("yummy pizza with pita bread and feta cheese and tomato paste"), I asked her what she thought about meditation.

She admitted that, at first, it was hard to get into meditation and see the real benefits of it. But that all changed when she found the right meditation teacher. Now that she found the kind of meditation and the teacher she connects most with (she loves Erin Ward), she's loving what the practice brings her.
