Being single in any city can feel wonderful some days and like work the next. But if you're looking for a change of scenery and a date, you might want to check out the top 10 cities for singles, based on new data from Rent.com.
The list features cities with more than 50,000 rental dwellings, a high concentration of single adults over 20, and an overall population over 100,000. To determine which cities were best for daters, they looked at key factors such as safety, nightlife activities, restaurant variety, dining frequency, and even coffee shop density.

Coming in at the top of the list is San Francisco (which also happens to be our pick as the healthiest city for women). The rest of the list includes New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, Seattle, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Portland, Jersey City, and Chicago. Translation: Large cities equal lots of opportunities for singles, but you probably already knew that.
