Sonam Kapoor’s fitness instructor shares 4 powerful pre-workout snack ideas

She says that working out on an empty stomach can lead to muscle mass loss which can cause loss of energy, strength, and stamina. She shares a list of 4 pre-workout snacks that will help you get the most out of your workout. Remember to eat these 30-45 minutes before your workout.

  • Eat half cup cooked sweet potato with 1 scoop branch chain amino acids mixed in water. Sweet potatoes are filling and full of essential nutrients including all the vitamins, iron, magnesium, manganese and antioxidants.

  • Blend dried fruits (apricots, dates or figs) with half cup Greek yoghurt.

  • Have half a banana with 1 tbsp all-natural almond butter. You can have these on a whole wheat toast.

  • Add ½ tbsp peanut butter to half an apple. Top this with dark chocolate chips and a couple of nuts.
