Avoid sexting when your partner is at work
Being in a long distance relationship means you’re probably in different time zones. So if you’re just getting out of bed, there are chances that your partner is already at work. Since you don’t really know the work culture at his office, you better play it safe. Avoid texting him when he’s at work unless he says otherwise.
Don’t use sexting to fix your relationship
It’s never a good idea to use sex to resolve issues. It only leads to problems that are swept under the rug, and which creep out when you’re least expecting them. Use sexting only for fun and to connect with your partner who is miles away from you.
Try not to go beyond his comfort zone
With so much physical distance between you both it’s natural for certain things to change. What may have been okay with him at home may not be when he’s away. Don’t overstep boundaries; discuss with your partner what’s okay and what’s not. Set your own boundaries too.
Refrain from saving pictures/messages
It’s tempting to save those sexy messages and pictures to go back to later, but it is advisable to delete them as soon as you can. There’s always the risk of them falling into the wrong hands—your kids, in-laws, his colleagues, even complete strangers in a foreign land.
Make sure you’re sexting your partner
Always, and we can’t stress this enough, always check the number before hitting send. You don’t want a raunchy message to reach the wrong person (like your mom!) in the heat of the moment. Double-checking the number doesn’t take too much time and will spare you and your partner a lot of embarrassment.
