The Secret to a Good Morning

"You know when you blend butter with coffee it looks like a latte?! Always use grassfed butter (conveniently served at Starbucks) and add cinnamon for an amazing start to your day. I don't start my day without it! It is a WAY better alternative to fake sugars, real sugars, or crappy creamers with lots of processed ingredients! Be brave and give it a try: #buttacoffee"

Build a Better Breakfast

"Breakfast is very important to me—after my first one-on-one client, I make sure I fill up with good food to fuel my day, not too much after my #buttacoffee. Here I have two full eggs that I cooked with some mixed greens, paprika, and garlic, three slices of hormone-free bacon, and a side of plantain chips. Oh. And sriracha, of course. YUMM. My favorite breakfast."

Make Exercise Enjoyable

"I have SO much fun with the people I train. This crew just finished a HARD workout at CrossFit Park Hill, and they are still down to have some fun after. We are really just a bunch of kids that have a good time, try new things, and are wanting to get stronger and healthier every day. And, with sunshine like this in Denver, it makes it pretty easy to do."

Workout O'Clock

"Enough working other people out, it's time for ME to work out!! I am definitely blessed to work in a gym, so I have zero excuses to not go, but don't think it doesn't take some motivating to get me started. I never regret it as soon as I get going. Today is leg day. You want to build a butt and sexy legs? Start lifting :) Heavy deadlifts for me, and squats are next!! Always do it under supervision until you really dial in that form. But, once you do, lift weights at least three times a week and watch your body lean out."

All About Pullups

"LADIES! Do you want to get a pullup?!? Assisted pullups, with either a band or the machine, are a MUST! You work so many muscle groups with pullups, and who doesn't want to do one? I have my classes and clients do at least one time a week five sets of five pullups with three minutes rest in between. Every time you hit that number five, it should be really, really hard but doable. Adjust and change assistance as you need! Erin, who I train at Warehouse41, is SO close to getting her first unassisted pullup!"

Dinner Time!

"I love food. I love cooking it when I have time. I love eating it. I love making recipes up so that I can make my clients' lives easier with meal plans. But most of all, I love eating. My favorite recipe I've ever created: portabella mushroom 'bun' burgers with grassfed beef and chorizo, baked Brussels sprouts, and a sweet potato. It's my go-to, and surprisingly easy and fast to make. Mix the meat with garlic, onion, cilantro... Top on mushroom cap, bake for 30 minutes, and VOILA. It's a beautiful dinner :)"

Off to Bed

"Lots of clients. Lots of running around. Lots of happy. Lots of good things happening :) Time to cuddle with my love-bug Griffindor and call it a night to do it all again tomorrow. I am so glad I got to hang out with you guys today! Much love... Go wake up and BE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO tomorrow. <3"
