The year is coming to an end. This is the time when most of us will start thinking about a resolution to make and keep in 2018. If you are in a relationship
, here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling.
Make an effort
It happens. Over time, couples get into a routine and tend to take one another for granted. So, resolve to make an effort and make your partner happy every once in a while. It could be small, like arranging a spontaneous date at a restaurant he’s wanted to visit. Or something big, like planning a trip to place he’s dreamed of visiting. Try new things in the bedroom
If you are in a long-term relationship, sex
can get boring after a while and start to feel like a chore. Surprise him by learning some new moves in the bedroom. Alternatively, you could also be open to experimentation when he suggests something.
Bringing up old grudges isn’t going to solve your current conflict. If you have decided to forgive each other for a past transgression, forget it and let it go. You will still fight, but at least you won’t be vengeful and mean. Keep gadgets away
Phubbing is real. Spending quality time with your guy means putting the phone down and not posting every minute of your date on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Restrict the use of electronics when you are with each other, and especially in the bedroom.
Have more conversations
So, the gadgets are stowed away and you are finally alone together. Discuss your day. Listen to what he has to say. Have a conversation. Smaller issues can be stopped from becoming bigger problems when you talk to each other. Break a bad habit together
What’s your vice? Zero exercise, fizzy drinks after every meal or junk food for lunch daily? You and your partner can form a tag team and break the habit together. Motivate each other and being there for one another on bad days to reach your goal together.
