L'Oreal has released a "hair map" of the UK, showing us the most common hair trends for each region. And there are certainly some surprises...
2017 has been the year of some hot (and some downright weird) beauty trends, and hair has certainly been experimental. But who would have guessed that rural East Anglia was the hotspot for the brightest locks, and the most redheads are closest to Birmingham?
The research conducted by L'Oreal Professional surveyed 3000 women and revealed the trends to watch in 2018. Grey hairis becoming increasingly popular - and a whopping 28% of women are considering silver or platinum (we're assuming Kylie Jenner, not Gandalf, is probably the look they're aiming for). 24% of women say that they're more likely to try bright or pastel hair than they would have done a year ago, so let's expect some bold new looks in 2018?
Celeb hair inspo proves no surprises: Katy Perry comes up top, followed by Rihanna and Beyonce. However, Helen Mirren also makes the leaderboard, as an icon for older women (and we think she looks pretty great always).
If you're a regular searcher for #hairinspo, you're also not the only one - with 47% of women using Instagram as a way of discovering hair trends. Well, mermaid hair does filter beautifully.
