Nineties children, brace yourselves, because your favorite miniature dolls are getting a long-anticipated revival. Per BuzzFeed, Mattel is bringing back the Polly Pocket compact. Mark your calendars because you'll be able to buy them this summer.
In 1989, the world blessed us with the Polly Pocket compact, which was pocket-sized (duh) and had miniature worlds inside. Some of the most iconic Polly Pockets included water park Polly and schoolhouse Polly (school is boring for regular people, but not for Polly). When Mattel took over Bluebird Toys in 1998, giving the whole Polly Pocket line an upgrade, the compacts got the boot and the dolls themselves got a little bigger.
But don't worry, because you won't be compact-less for much longer. The new line will include Polly doing her various ~thangs~ in compact locations, as she always did.
Here she is, being a rockstar...
Here she is in her house, which doesn't have a bathroom but I guess that's OK?
Um, she also has an adorable dog...
Here she is doing some sort of under-sea activity that I can't entirely figure out?? Is she pearl diving??
Here's Polly giving us some serious après-ski vibes.
And here's another beach-themed situation!
Saving the best for last, another rockstar theme complete with a limo, because no good fictional doll can exist without her own LIMO.
Are these dolls a little bizarre looking now that I'm not 12 years old? Sure. Do they seem a little clunky compared with the OG Pockets? Yes. Will they still hurt like a bitch when you step on them? Absolutely. Am I still going to buy them? You better believe it.
