Makeup is damn fun, and we'd never knock it, but there's something incredibly empowering and freeing about baring all your blemishes. That's exactly what Game of Thrones' Nathalie Emmanuel just did, simply captioning her photo, "This is my face."
The sea of uplifting, positive responses posted on her image have us feeling warm and fuzzy, too. One person wrote, "You look beautiful exactly as you are." Another put it, "Thank you for posting this! I have some acne scars on my face and I've been feeling self conscious, but this is a nice reminder that you don't need makeup to be beautiful. You're stunning!!"
We've noticed some other celebs posting no-makeup selfies, too, including former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe:
This is gonna mess up my esthetically pleasing feed and I don't really care. After 2 months on broadway, getting dolled up with full hair and make up, this is how I normally look. It's been a whirlwind and I have just been "on" for a while now. Poor Shawn, but I have been run down, moody, tired, cranky, irritable, and probably smell bad because I hate showering. Just wanted to remind you today while scrolling, that you're beautiful, Instagram is a highlight reel, and we all have things to work on. But work on the inside this year, scroll less, love more, and the outside will fall into place. Let's make 2018 the year of #Realstagram and mix one in every once and a while! Who's with me ????????â€â™€ï¸
And Gwyneth Paltrow:
And Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot:
It's so refreshing to see bare faces from people we're used to seeing airbrushed!
