DIY hair treatments

TGF Beta 1 (Transforming Growth Factor beta 1) in hair results in the death of hair follicles and hair loss. Curcumin, an active ingredient contained in turmeric, is capable of inhibiting the activity of TGF Beta 1 and thus preventing hair loss. Mix turmeric powder with milk and honey and apply this natural hair treatment on your scalp by a gentle massage.
Turmeric can also be used in the treatment of various scalp conditions such as dermatitis and eczema that cause itching, hair thinning and inflammation of the scalp. Curcumin again comes to the rescue with its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Take some turmeric powder and mix it with half a cup of curd. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and allow it to dry for 30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.

If you’re looking to lighten your hair naturally and give it a little red tint, just mix turmeric, curd and henna together. Let the mixture dry for a while before washing it off in cold water with a mild shampoo and later, a conditioner. The turmeric and curd helps lighten the hair and henna gives the red tint.
