Lakme Fashion Week 2018: Judwaa 2 Actress Taapsee Pannu Made Heads Turn As She Walked At LFW Ramp For Label by Ritu Kumar

With the Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 Edition already underway in Mumbai, the city has become an epicenter of fashion and style. Style enthusiasts and fashion experts from across the country as in the town to enjoy the fresh fashion and upcoming trends. The first day of the event saw many celebrated fashion designers showcasing their collection on the ramp. Many Bollywood celebrities attended the event and many walked to ramp. Judwa 2 actress Taapsee Pannu was one of the celebrities at the event and she showcased the brand Label by Ritu Kumar. The actress revealed that she always loved the brand as the clothes are usually very colorful with interesting patterns. She said, “During my college days in Delhi, there were only a handful of designers and most of them ended up being too heavy on your pocket. This was one brand that was very savvy in terms of affordability, so I ended up saving a lot of my pocket money and the first ever designer piece that I got was this brand. It’s a sense of accomplishment that I am walking for this brand now.”


Taapsee Pannu wore a gorgeous flowy gown with thigh-high slit from the collection “Hip Hop Baroque” of Label Ritu Kumar. The collection has lot of vigor, patterns and vibrant colors. The gown showcased by Taapsee Pannu also had a crop top with lace detail and shorts. She completed the look with black boots and a black grommet holes Belt. Her look had a 90s punk direction.


The actress also talked about her fashion and said, “I think when you own your style, it becomes fashion. Fashion is not something that overpowers your personality. I think it should gel with your personality so well that your personality shines out of it.”


Label Ritu Kumar’s “Hip Hop Baroque” collection includes jackets, printed dresses, pleated midis, sequin works and georgette fabric. It is a fusion of rap and street style, inspired by the spirit of the subcultures of the past. The collection gives you clothes that are both contemporary and retro. The color palette used for the collection is scattered with baby pink, ecru and ochre contracting with, blue, black and metallic.
