Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Kim Kardashian has a hell of a lot of confidence. ICYMI (but really, how could you have?): The queen of the Kardashian clan posted a bold selfie showing off her totally naked post-baby bod. And, amid speculation that this was an older pre-baby photo, the mom of two followed it up with a second naked shot with the caption "#liberated."
Damn, girl looks good, eh? But, predictably, Kardashian received a lot of backlash for the shots.
In honor of International Women’s Day, she took to her blog to defend her decisions to post the photos. “I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world,” she says in the post.

And how about being proud of her smokin’ post-baby bod? Last time we checked, feeling sexy, empowered, and like a woman with a capital “W” shouldn’t stop just because you’ve given birth.
West goes on to say that she hopes to raise her daughter in a world where women aren’t made to feel lesser for embracing whatever it is that empowers them. And we have to hand it to her—the mogul draws attention to the irony of slut-shaming on a day that’s supposed to be all about supporting and uplifting women.
Kim closes with "I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy."
So ladies: Whether you, like Kim, feel empowered by baring it all, or draw your confidence from a more modest place, the important thing is to stop apologizing for doing whatever makes you feel confident. You keep doing you, girl.
