No offense to all the candle (or candle alternative) gifters out there, but I like to give gifts that are a little more, well, personal. But the trouble with personalized gifts, of course, is that holiday shopping becomes harder since you can't get the same thing for everyone on your list. Well, I’m here to tell you that you can actually get the same thing for everyone on your list and still come off as super-thoughtful (even at the last minute!). The trick is to get a photo gift–but I’m not talking about those cheesy photo mugs you’ve no doubt been gifted at some point or another.
I’m talking about a product from Artifact Uprising, which was started by a group of three photographers to offer high-quality photo products made from recycled papers and reclaimed materials. I’ve seen much of their product line in person (and own several of the items) and can attest to how beautiful they look; the photo prints come on thick, textured paper, and many products use real wood.
My personal favorite for anyone and everyone is the Walnut Block and Prints package, which at $30, is a slight upgrade from the $25 Wood Block and Prints set (both come with 12 photos that sit on a wood block, so you can switch out which one is on display at any given time).
If your friend just had a baby, getting 12 photos of her and her little one printed for the gift is a no-brainer. Or for your S.O., you can select a dozen pics of the two of you.
The calendars, which start at $30, are also a great option (I have one sitting in my office right now that my husband gave me–he selected photos from our wedding to coincide with each month.)

You still have time to order one of these products as a gift for, oh, everyone on your list. Just select Fedex Economy shipping if you’re ordering by December 14, Fedex Expedited shipping if you’re ordering by the 17th, and Fedex Rush or Super Rush if you’re ordering after that (Artifact Uprising has a complete guide to holiday shipping).
And if you’re really not sure what prints someone would prefer (or you’ve waited to the absolute last minute and need something fast), Artifact Uprising also offers digital gift cards, which can be used toward the aforementioned wood blocks or calendars, along with prints, framed photos, photo books, and more.
