Healthy weight gain recipe: Date and walnut energy bar or Khajur akhrot ki barfi

It is a specific blend of milk products and dry fruits that gives instant boost in energy level while satiating your craving for sweets. Khajur akhrot ki barfi has vata-pitta alleviating effect but vitiates kapha dosha. Here are some Ayurevdic kadhas for balancing kapha dosha.

- 1/2 kg khajur (dates)
- 1/4 kg akhrot (walnut)
- 150 gm mawa
- 1 cup milk
- 150 gm sugar
- 2 tbsp ghee

- Soak khajur in milk for 2-3hours.
- Dry roast akhrot in a kadhai.
- Grind khajur in grinder to get a smooth texture.
- Chop akhrot into fine pieces.
- Take a deep pan, add ghee, now add khajur, mawa, sugar and keep stirring till everything is mixed properly.
- Keep it stirring for about 10 minutes on slow flame.
- Now remove it from flame and add akhrot to it and mix it.
- Now the barfi mixture is ready to set in a tray.
- Cut it in desired shape and serve.
