Emma Stone, an Icon, Brilliantly Calls Out Lack of Female Best Director Nominees at Oscars

Emma Stone is the latest actress to brilliantly call out this award season's lack of female-nominated directors. Seemingly taking a page out of Natalie Portman's book, the Oscar winner made a jab at the Academy when she presented the nominees for best director. "These four men and Greta Gerwig created their own masterpieces this year," she told the crowd. Even though the Lady Bird director didn't end up taking home the award (it went to The Shape of Water's Guillermo del Toro instead), we can't help but applaud Emma for throwing shade at Hollywood's sexism.
