A Church in the Shape of a High Heel Was Built to Lure Women Inside

Apparently women in Taiwan have been skipping out on church, and what better way to seduce them back into worship than shoes? Uh, right?

That's what builders in Jaiyi County were thinking when they broke ground on a high heel-shaped church about two months ago. According to The Daily Mail, the shoe is 55 ft. tall and made out of 320 pieces of glass.

A spokesman for the church told reporters that there's more to this house of worship than just the design. In fact, the inside of the church is built with women in mind (or rather, some sexist stereotypes), and includes things like "chairs for 'lovers,' maple leaves, biscuits and cakes—all ideal for romantic photographs." In case you're wondering what kind of church this is, your guess is as good as ours. There's currently no information on the religious affiliation of the shoe-shaped sanctuary.

The church is set to open February 8 (just in time for the Chinese New Year).
