8 Hairstyles Inspired By Sonam Kapoor To Wear For Shaadi Season

You can't say Sonam Kapoor is predictable. The Neerja actress is known to serve up some amazing looks when she steps on to the red carpet. From breathtaking couture by Elie Saab and Anamika Khanna to her own fashion label Rheson, everything is fashion forward. What's more, she loves to experiment with hair and makeup. Think braids, complicated updos and unconventional lipstick hues that make their way to her social media channels and app. In fact, her Instagram is choc-a-bloc with not just her outfits, but accessories and hair ideas too. With shaadi season in full swing, we decided to check just that for some beauty inspo.

The Grecian Braid:

Have super long hair? This is the hairstyle for you. It's different from the milkmaid, as it involves more braids being wrapped around your hair instead of two. Accessorize with a thin hairband or ribbon, to take this look up a notch.

The Messy Low Bun:

A sleek bun can sometimes look too severe, or too ageing. Keep it fun by texturizing you low bun with a sea salt spray. Pull out a few strands from the front of your head and curl.

The Turban:

Looking to go all out? Or just having a plain old bad hair day? Enter the turban. This royal look is bound to turn a few heads. Use a colourful silky scarf to make it wedding appropriate.

Tousled Waves:

Kapoor sported these tousled locks at her BFF Anooshe Mussarat's wedding in London. We love this look because it doesn't take much time and is relatively uncomplicated, perfect for the lazy girl. All you require is a medium-sized barrel curling iron.

The Twisted Bun:

For the ET Panache Awards, Sonam Kapoor sported a twisted bun, an updated take on the standard bun. All you need to do is start with sleek, straightened hair swept into a low ponytail. Twist your strands clockwise tightly and secure with bobby pins. Next take the twisted strands and drape over the start of the ponytail. Secure it on the other side with pins.

The Milkmaid Braid:

Kapoor sported this look at Cannes earlier this year, which we think would work really well at a beach wedding. We love how she kept the rest of her locks loose.

The Tucked-In Bob:

Don't fancy a chop before the wedding? Fake one with the tucked in Bob. It will leave everyone guessing if you really did go in for a haircut.

The Braided Ponytail:

Are you a rebel at heart? This is the hairstyle to sport. We love the mix of cornrows and a high ponytail that makes you look like a complete rockstar.
