7 times in 2017 Indian celebs and politicians made medically ignorant statements that made us go STFU

2017 is about to end and when we look back at the year there have been some epic fail moments when some of the well-known celebs and politicians have made some really irresponsible and factually incorrect statements. Statements that have no relation to facts and are utterly absurd, sexist and dumb. These statements are so stupid that they are hilarious AF. Let’s take a look at a few such statements that will make you facepalm.

1. When Gulam Nabi Azad, the ex-health minister said this on population control:
‘When there is no electricity there is nothing else to do but produce babies’

2. When Dharamvir Goyat, who is Haryana’s Congress committee member said the most sexist and ignorant thing and gathered a lot of hate. He said, ’90 percent rape cases are consensual.’ Don’t remember giving my consent for this trash remark either.

3. Sriprakash Jaiswal, who is the Ex-Union Coal Minister said, ‘Like an old victory, wives lose charm as time goes by.’- And I am deeply stressed that you haven’t yet lost the talent of giving uncalled for opinions.
4. ‘Rape cases are on a rise because men and women interact with each other more freely now,’ said by, Mamta Banerjee CM of West Bengal. Yes! I think we all should learn sign language, probably then rapes will stop. *Fake ponders*
5. ‘Divine justice always will be there. Nobody can escape the divine justice that will happen. Cancer is divine justice for sins.’- Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarna. The words, ‘Cancer’ and ‘health minister’ together in the above sentences, just killed me.
6. ‘I think eugenics is extremely relevant in a conversation on nepotism. Eugenics means well-born and in a movie context, the genes. ‘- I think Saif Ali Khan needs more books that mics.

7. ‘The peacock does not indulge in sex with peahen. The peahen gives birth after it gets impregnated with the tears of the peacock,’ said by Justice Mahesh Chandra Sharma of the Rajasthan High Court. To, logic and biology, ‘We’re all sorry on his behalf’.
