6 Ways to Get Revenge on an Ex That Don't Involve a Makeover

Reality TV star and Strong Looks Better Naked author Khloé Kardashian has completely transformed her look over the past few years, crediting exercise and eating right for her current “revenge body." And now, she’s getting her own show because of it, Deadline reports. Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian will follow Koko as she helps other women complete a total-body transformation after a breakup or other bump in the road.

“Whether (someone’s) been dumped, lost their job, or are facing some of life’s toughest challenges, Khloé will help motivate them to seek the ultimate revenge by receiving a true and total makeover,” E! told Deadline. "In each episode, two heartbroken individuals will get the opportunity to recreate themselves with the help of a team of Hollywood’s most elite trainers, stylists and glam squads assembled by Kardashian, resulting in a major transformation.”

It's a helluva lotta fun to bump into an ex after you just got your hair blown out and your ass is looking perfect in those new Seven jeans, so we'll no doubt be tuning in to cheer for the ladies featured on the episodes. However, wouldn't it be even more amazing if the "revenge" entailed other things besides makeovers? There's more than one way to show him what he's missing out on that can not only make you feel great, but also make you wonder why you ever dated that dud in the first place.

Here, six other feel-good routes to moving on with your life:

1. Finally Taking That Trip to Costa Rica
You two had always talked about it, but there was always an excuse not to pull the trigger—his work, the price, Game of Thrones came back that week—the list goes on. Now it’s official: You’re going! Hope he enjoys your Instagram pictures zip-lining though the jungle because he’s going to see a LOT of them.

2. Finishing a Triathlon
The dedication and training involved in finally completing that first triathlon will no doubt spark admiration and maybe even a little jealousy, not that that’s your only motivation for this rigorous, taxing physical and emotional challenge. After all, you're the one that gets to see and feel all the benefits here.

3. Organizing a Super-Fun Social Event
What better way to show him you’ve moved on than to be the social chair for your group of friends? This proves you’re definitely not the one sulking at home. Make it a game night or get a group together to hit a concert—payback can be fun, creative, and help you reconnect with some of the buds you may have neglected while you were in honeymoon land.

4. Slaying Your Career
This could apply to a number of fields, really. When you finally make something happen professionally or personally (especially if it’s something that he always vowed he’d make happen for himself but never took initiative to), you may evoke the slightest bit of envy…if that’s what you’re in the market for, of course. Good on you for getting shit done regardless.

5. Getting a Dog
Nothing says, “I’ve moved on and I’m better than ever!” quite like a cute pup at your side. Who has time to mull over a bitter breakup when they’ve got a dog to feed, board, and entertain? Not to mention your new best friend is probably a way better kisser than your ex.

6.  Getting Back Out There
Sign up for Tinder, Match, Farmers Only, speed dating—it doesn’t matter, as long as you’re getting yourself out there. Bouncing back, even though it may feel difficult at first, is one of the best ways to move forward, even if you don’t find new love immediately. Taking this action says, “I know I'm hot already and I'm going to find someone who appreciates me today—not three months and a personal trainer from now."
