Exam season will start soon. Students often suffer from lack of concentration, memory problems, low immunity, stress, infections and other conditions during exam months. Here are some natural drinks by dIetician Jasleen Kaur, founder, Just Diet Clinic, that will help students concentrate better in exams, beat stress and be healthy.

  • Almond milk: Almonds are rich in lean protein. Protein not only gives you a boost of energy but also helps repair brain cells and improves cognitive functions including memory. In addition to that, almonds are also loaded with nutrients like vitamin B6 which promote brain health, and vitamin E that slows down the ageing of brain cells that impact memory.

  • Blueberry and Strawberry Smoothie: Berries contain a high amount of antioxidants that protect cells from damage. They are good source of vitamin C which helps to boost memory. Just take some strawberries and blueberries, half a cup of yogurt and some milk and blend.

  • Dark Chocolate Shake: Dark chocolate improves blood flow to the brain which helps in boosting memory, attention span, reaction time and problem-solving skills. Dark chocolate also acts as an antioxidant and its caffeine content helps kids stay alert and sharp. It also helps to lower blood pressure and improves blood flow to both the brain and the heart. Milk is a rich source of vitamin D, which is an essential vitamin for brain health, memory improvement, and healthy circulation.

  • Beetroot Juice: Beetroot is packed with Vitamins A, C, and K, beta carotene, polyphenols, antioxidants and folate, among other important micronutrients

  • Jaggery tea: Jaggery is an excellent source of antioxidants which helps in boosting the overall immunity.
